The first model 3.0 by BYD e platform, Dolphin is equipped with the world's first deeply integrated eight-in-one electric powertrain. It is also the only model of the same level equipped with a heat pump system. With the direct cooling and direct heating technology of the battery pack refrigerant, it can ensure that the battery pack is always at the optimal operating temperature.

BYD Dolphin provides 70KW and 130KW drive motors. The high-performance version of the battery pack can store the electric energy when 44.9 kW. It is equipped with BYD "blade battery". The active version has a endurance of 301km, the free/fashion version has a endurance of 405km, and the knight version has a endurance of 401km.

Dolphin is equipped with a "super safe" blade battery, standard IPB intelligent integrated braking system, and DiPilot intelligent driving assistance system, which can provide more than ten active safety functions.
